Animal lovers in Bengaluru take part in a mega show

A day of fun for animal lovers included an opportunity to interact with cats and dogs of a variety of breeds, both Indian and foreign. 

The Feline Club of India and Whiskas organized the PetGala, a dog and cat show, which was attended by thousands of people.

At the event, among the many dogs present were Belgian Shepherds and German Shepherds, as well as Poodles, Labradors, Huskies, Bulldogs, Pugs, Great Danes, Terriers and Dachshunds, Basset Hounds, and Golden Retrievers. Bengal cats, Burmese cats, Persian cats, Ragdolls, and Himalayan cats were all among the cats.

A variety of activities were offered to pet lovers including Agility Zones, Pool Parties, Pet Fashion Shows, interactive games, and more. In an effort to attract as many people as possible to adopt Indian dogs and cats, MARS Petcare organized a mega adoption drive. There were also the International Utility Dog Sports, showcasing rare Indian native dog breeds.

A variety of stalls showcased supplements and grooming products for cats and dogs, from energy to joint strength and digestive health to foam cleanser, spray cleanser, and anti-hair fall shampoo. Some stalls displayed specific pet foods and nutrients, as well as genetic testing for genetic diseases of animals.

It was an honor to organize such a large event. We made sure that there was an ambulance and veterinarian present. In addition, the dog and cat sections have been separated to avoid accidents, and pet parents have been told not to let their pets out on their own, said S Kiran Kumar, event director of PetGala.
