Try to avoid giving your pets human food.

1. Coffee Beans

Coffee beans are high in caffeine and have been linked to anxiety, insomnia, and even depression. While coffee beans may not be harmful to pets, they should never be fed to them. If your pet consumes coffee beans, it could cause vomiting, diarrhea, and potentially even death.

 

2. Chocolate Chips

Chocolate chips are loaded with sugar and fat, making them unhealthy for dogs and cats. Chocolate chips are also known to cause digestive issues in animals. In fact, chocolate chips are often used to train dogs, so if your dog eats chocolate chips, he might get a treat instead of training.

 

3. Peanut Butter

Peanuts are toxic to dogs and cats. Peanut butter contains salicylic acid, which can cause skin irritation and inflammation. Additionally, peanuts can cause gastrointestinal upset and liver damage.

4. Eggs

Eggs are rich in protein, but they can also cause intestinal blockage in dogs and cats. Egg yolk is especially dangerous to small pets, who tend to eat everything.

 

5. Nuts

Nuts are high in fat and calories, which makes them bad for both dogs and cats. Additionally, nuts can cause gastrointestinal distress and kidney problems.

 

6. Alcohol

Alcohol is poisonous to dogs and cats. Even though alcohol is a depressant, it still causes dehydration in pets.

 

7. Garlic

Garlic is toxic to dogs and cats, causing vomiting, diarrhea, and even seizures.
